Did anyone here think last Aug that in Nov BYU would be top 10 AP, top 10 Coaches, and top 15 Playoffs? Think about the last 3 or 4 years and all the mindless losses. And then look at this season.

BYU and its fans should be happy. BYU will beat SDSU and will probably beat its bowl opponent (based on my assumption that BYU won’t get a tough bowl opponent). That makes BYU 11-0 and probably makes them close to finishing top 5. Remember, BYU’s 2nd best season in history was 1996 when they finished #5. BYU may match that this year and you’re not happy?

Please remember two things can be true at the same time: Truth 1: BYU got ripped off by a P5-influenced organization that protects its own. Truth 2: BYU’s ridiculous schedule gave the committee the rope they needed to hang BYU. That’s just the reality.

So enjoy the SDSU game. Enjoy the bowl. Enjoy seeing BYU in the conversation for the first time in 24 years.
