It's pretty clear that the CFP committee is fine ranking one non-P5 correctly (Cincy)... since, by rule/bylaws they have to include the highest non-AQ, but the thought of an Independent BYU getting ALL the NY6 Bowl money and, even worse, not having to share it around with conference-mates drives them BATTY.

P5 members of the committee's thinking:
"It's our money and we're not gonna share it if we don't have to."
(even here, Barta, the Iowa AD who's the head of the committee worked as an asst AD at Washington before becoming the AD at Wyoming from 2003-6)"

Non P5 members of the committee's thinking:
"I sort of like the idea of the little guy getting their just rewards, but NOT and independent BYU, who doesn't have to share with anyone else."
(only 2 non-P5 committee members, including the current Wyoming AD who graduated from Larmie in 1988... got to see his team 1-3 vs BYU including a 59-0 beat down in Provo... he's still probably of the opinion that BYU should still be in the MWC and is butthurt about it)
