BYU is the only one that might move the meter on conference income, but there

are other issues that we bring to the table.  The B12 would need a guarantee that adding two more members would increase individual slices of the conference money pie. And my guess is that they would want the increase to be significant.


And once the B12 was able to have a CCG w/o 12 members, then they were able to get the money without adding two more teams. As long as the P5 cartel keeps making (all too predictable) decisions creating significant barriers to entry, BYU will not get in. There is no reason for them to allow it.


The CFP ranking this week confirmed that the P5 will make sure that all barriers remain artificially high. Monopolies tend to behave the same decade in and decade out.
