You aren't going to take "lesser games" when the possiblity of some big games
Are on the line.
You guys are all reading this the wrong way.
If BYU had been ranked #8, cincinnati would play us for a chance to get a playoff spot.
Miami, texas am etc would want to play us for a shot to get to the playoff.
If BYU had scheduled games against unranked teams and we had missed out on some big games, it would have been way worse. What happened is we ended up ranked very low and now nobody wants to schedule us cause we aren't in the way or enough to move the needle for those teams
