If they expand the playoff recruits will disperse themselves way more than they are now, and it will be naturally instead of forced. Right now there are like 5-6 teams you can go to and expect to play in the playoff in your college career. If they expanded the playoff that number would increase to like 40-50 teams (for a 16 team playoff). That would turn CFB more into what college basketball has, where you can rely on a few teams to always be elite but at the same time everyone has a chance in recruiting and in the playoff.
