Were you driving in a 18-wheeler cab with a mattress for you to sleep laying down?
Or were you just trying to sleep in the back seat of a sedan?
An 18-wheeler can go like 600 miles without stopping for fuel. Even at 70 miles an hour that's 8+ hours.
That said, being a trucker has got to be a rough life. Although you probably get used to it - like most jobs.
