Tony Ingle who served as interim head coach during the 96-97 season is in the hospital battling Covid. His son posted the update below. He is a very good man with an awesome family and could use some prayers.
My dad, Tony Ingle has been in the ICU for a week. He’s struggling to breath on his own as he battles Covid-19. Two days ago his breathing machine was responsible for 100% of his oxygen. His oxygen has improved since but he has a long fight ahead. Please keep him in your prayers! pic.twitter.com/wFrSHZIFsI
Former BYU coach Tony Ingle is retiring, having won two small-college national championships. The only thing he didn't do was get another big-time coaching job after falling on the sword for BYU in 1996-97.
