the mistake this year was letting Notre Dame in the playoff. They should've been

left out after they got crushed by clemson in a conference championship game. If you get crushed in your conference championship game you should NOT be in the playoff. That was awful. And the reason they had beaten Clemson earlier in the year was painfully obvious.
