can't remember the earlier seasons with enough clarity to be able to rank them?

It sometimes amazes me some of the conversations on here where someone will say they liked season 3 better than 5, and 2 and 4 were just okay and someone else will respond with their own ranking. It's hard enough to remember what happened in last week's episode, let alone 4 seasons ago.
