It really depends on your budget and what your family or kids like. We like warm weather and beaches/pool and good-great food. I preface this as my wife is a travel agent and books a ton of cruises & now more than ever all inclusive resorts as cruising is slow to come back. We’ve been in Cancun since Christmas Day.

Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach is amazing so far, it just went all- inclusive & the resort is in the hotel zone. It’s a 5-star resort & loved the Italian food we had tonight. Kids were well taken care of with chicken nuggets & fries/pizza - also checking out the kids club tomorrow.
The beach here is great and water seemed warmer than resorts in Riviera Maya & just very kid/family friendly. Very family friendly - you can order food from your beach chairs eat right there.

Generations Karisma - we just spent 4-days in Riviera Maya - the resort is great and has swim ups on the first 4 levels - my kids loved it. Rooms were great, with jetted tubs and the ceiling shower - (seriously was a highlight). Capacity was low as most have to stay around 60% or less for COVID reasons. Very family friendly and has a kids club for younger kids - my 5, 7, & 10 yr old went every day & loved it. Beach is ok, but not great for snorkeling The resort is actually known more for its food. It was really good, & kids had options at each one.

Beaches - Turks & Caicos - we got day passes here & the resort is huge, and basically has its own water park. I really can’t wait to take my family here- as this resort really has it all including the best beaches I’ve ever been on & extremely family friendly. This does come at a higher price point for sure.

Grand Velas - Puerta Vallarta/Cabo/Cancun - we were really trying to get hooked up here as this is my wife’s favorite - also known for its great food and service. My wife’s been to both PV/and Cabo locations and raves about it. Also caters to families & very high price points.


I’ve also been to adult only resorts - just got back in Nov from Sandals in St Lucia & have been to the Club Med resorts in Turks & Caicos as well.
