I believe it depends on your base D. If you run a 4-3 then
two coaches are typically on the D line, inside and outside respectively. If you run a 3-4 then typically two coaches will be for the linebackers, also inside and outside.

I thought our LBs were one of the weaker groups this year. Standing still like you are encased in cement is hard.

My point exactly. Not an impressive year for the LB’s from my perspective. Aren’t there sometimes two dedicated coaches
