I bought most of my shares a few years ago with the plan to hold long term with the hope Tesla would at least become a major car company. But it does appear that they don't plan on being just a car company. They have plans to enter the ride-share market with self-driving cars which if they succeed they could dominate that market. They are already in the solar and energy storage market. They also have technology that could have application to other markets besides transportation. There's been talk of a Tesla HVAC system for example. So I can see them becoming much more than a car company. I think either way they won't drop below what I bought them at so I figure I'll wait it out and see.
