My wife had a co-worker tell her that it was a great time to buy cruise line stock a few months ago, because it was really low with the pandemic. So now we've got $100 in RCL - but that's really my only individual stock investment.

I don't have the time to do the research and understand what's going on enough to feel comfortable putting any important amount of money into something outside of a basic S&P Index fund. Sure - there might be better vehicles for growth - but I feel pretty comfortable that over the long haul I'm going to be just fine going this route.
