point I'm totally fine with some creative departures, assuming they still keep the general framework similar to the original. I actually ended up playing the original right after playing the remake (I had watched a friend play it when it first came out, but had never actually played it myself). The original is still great, and it totally holds up. That's one reason I'm OK with some departure for the remake, because we will always have the original to still love and play. Also, I think another reason I'm OK with some of the changes is because it's obvious that the developers have a real love for the original game, so I don't think they are going to mess things up (as evidenced by such a great first game). I have faith that they will continue with keeping it great while still showing that admiration for the original through the rest of the games.
