Got one about a month ago
Had a 9 yr old Samsung that started power cycling. I knew it was reparable because the same thing happened 4 yrs ago and I had a repair shop fix it for around $300.

Decided to invest in a new TV instead of in a repair. I did a bunch of research on 8K vs. 4K and OLED (e.g., LG) vs. QLED (e.g., Samsung) and decided: 1) I wouldn't really see the benefit of 8K in practice (plus almost no content available) and 2) OLED is better than QLED due to exact control of each pixel. QLED only wins in a bright room because the backlighting makes them brighter.

I went with the LG CX 65 inch. Awesome picture. I couldn't go bigger because we have a large Salamander media center that the TV mounts into, with cabinets underneath and above the area where the TV fits. From what I read, you get the same picture quality and features on the CX as you do on the GX and ZX. The main difference is form factor. The BX is a step down in performance. HAs the A7 processor instead of the A9 and is missing some other features.

My receiver (Denon AVR-1911, also about 9 yrs old) can't pass through 4K, so I've got the Direct TV connected directly to the TV, and then I'm passing sound back to the receiver via an optical audio link. Similarly, we are streaming Disney Plus and Netflix using the App on the LG TV and passing audio back. Seem to get good surround sound (I've got a 7.1 set-up).

Disney plus streams in 4K (I've got gigaspeed, fiber-to-the house internet) and the picture is awesome.
