It’s a tad repetitive because the SS was systematically carrying out a genocide and they made incremental changes with each “Jewish action”. The interesting part was the evolving attitudes of the men involved. Watching some of them go from vomiting and shaking from the stress of killing to sadistic pleasure in murder and torture as their conscience rotted away. It’s not an easy read but it’s illuminating.
I would have liked more personal background on some of the men and what happened to them after the war but I realize this would be nearly impossible. As a stipulation for access to the records Browning had to keep most of them anonymous.
