I know the IP address can show the mobile provider, but how accurate is the location? My wife uses her work cell phone as a mobile hotspot from time to time, and it'll show her location in either TX, NM, LA, AZ, or even CA.

Her coworker was in NY last week, and IT contacted her to confirm that she was logging into the company network while in NY, and now Accounting may adjust her paycheck to account for taxes.

Anyway, just thought I'd pick the collective brain of CB's IT professionals and other smart guys.
