Many consecutive years of severe drought would harm Wasatch front real-estate.
Within a few years we plan to sell our Wasatch Front home and use the equity to build a home on property we own in another state. The crazy home prices right now have us salivating and hoping we don't miss out on building a much nicer home than we expected. I feel pretty confident about overall market conditions for at least the next few years. However, I do worry some about a prolonged severe drought negatively impacting the Wasatch front.

If this snowpack year ends up being like last year or worse, how many consecutive years of this can we sustain until quality of life is impacted in a major way? If we wait until say 2023 and the severe drought conditions continue, what impact would that have on real-estate. Would we be living in a dust bowl by then or would we all just have brown lawns?
