I think BPI is still somewhat weighted by preseason expectations. As for KPI,

it looks like it's due to SOS. They have Michigan #1 at 11-0 w/ SOS of 27 and Texas #2 at 10-1 w/ SOS of 23. Gonzaga is #3 at 12-0 w/ SOS of 106. Gonzaga has lots of great wins but have played several games against very lowly ranked teams as well. Also, I don't think KPI factors in MOV.
