That is false about the P5 exposure
I did a comparison between BYU and Utah a while back. Utah has now pulled ahead of BYU because they were in a CCG and a big bowl game (which they got smashed in), but the middle and bottom tier PAC 12 schools are getting worse exposure than BYU. Their TV deal is a disaster.
I'll also point out that many P5 schools don't win very much, whereas BYU has had winning seasons almost every season since the early 1970s. CFB playoff and NY6 bowl access don't mean jack to schools who aren't realistically going to compete for a conference title.
