Like EVERY SINGLE Judd Apatow movie, it was at least 20 minutes too long, if not more. Probably at least 30 minutes. This is part of what studio oversight is for — protecting directors from their own weaknesses. Plot was pat and predictable, and mostly unconvincing. Had the length of a family epic without earning or justifying it.
Most of the characters and actors were pretty good (really liked Bill Burr, Tomei is always good, Judd Apatow's daughter was good as the sister, etc.), but Davidson felt like a cartoon character dropped among a bunch of real people. Just not a good enough actor to carry a movie like this. Also just kind of gross.
Not a bad movie, but not worth seeking out IMO.
