RE: Found mouse bites on food storage granola bar
What you ought to do (and for reference i own a pest control company) is try to Establish how they are accessing the area. Try to locate trails of droppings or other signs of mouse activity to plot how they are traveling through your home. The routes they are taking may be unorthodox, so search around everything. It is most common that mice are accessing the home from the garage. Even if the area you see the mouse or their activity is on the opposite side of the house, it is still the most likely scenario.

Once you have a more complete picture of their travel, place the bait stations along what appear to be the most heavily traveled areas. These can be identified by droppings and/or where food is being eaten. I don’t personally love Decon because of the active ingredient, but it should still work if placed appropriately. Also once you have plotted their routes see if you can identify the point or points where they may be accessing the home from the outside. If you can seal that off with something composed of metal so they cannot chew back through (we often utilize copper mesh and caulk to do this) Then you’ll prevent this from happening again at least for a while.

Also, try not to trick yourself into thinking you can seal off your entire house, you can’t, the goal is just to make it as hard as possible On The critters. If you live in an area where mice are a common and regular issue you may consider hiring a company to further prevent additional problems.
