Meh...Staley was incredible in the C-E Gaps, but....
...not a great inside the tackle runner. Having seen both first hand, Allgeier is the best all gap runner I think BYU has ever had and that's having looked at some other great all gap players like Curtis Brown and Jamaal Williams. Allgeier seems special to me in that he has the best peripheral vision of any back I have seen at BYU since Todd Christiansen in 1970-71.
