Look at his four years at UVU:
11-18 in 2015-2016
17-17 in 2016-2017
23-11 in 2017-2018
25-10 in 2018-2019
Some of his noteworthy accomplishments there include UVU went to the CBI his final 3 years, they signed a 4* recruit right out of high school in Wyatt Lowell, took BYU castoffs in Jake Toolson and Isaac Nielsen and developed them into productive players, and beat BYU basketball for the first time ever in history.
So far at BYU:
23-8 in 2019-2020
11-3 in 2020-21 so far (on pace for a better win percentage than last year, believe it or not)
Even with the delay that missions cause for BYU sports, Pope is clearly already elevating the program. Last year's team had a super fun, potent offense. This year's team is good at wearing out opposing teams and grinding out wins. It's going to be fun to see where Pope will take BYU basketball in another 2-3 years when he can fill out the roster with his recruits and develop them.
