So, we got a couple of smart switches and smart plugs recently (Amazon giving them away for like $.99 on day....)
I'm starting to play around with them a little. Here is my question ... where is the routines stored and run?
I set up some routines on my tablet for running one of the switches. Works great. I can talk to the Echo and it turns the switch on an off.
BUT, I was surprised to NOT see those routines on the Amazon Alexa App on the computer. So I got wondering ... is that routine something that runs on my tablet and then controls the switch? If that is true, I'm not sure that my tablet is the place I want that running ... because then it won't run if the tablet is turned off, or away from the network, or any number of other times. So, do I want the Routines to be set up and stored on something that is always on, and always at home (like an desktop computer that is always on)?
OR are those routines somehow in the devices memory somewhere (which is kind of what I thought was going to happen, but I relies now is probably more than those little plugs can do.) That would be great.
Any suggestions?
