It’s close, how many non star QB’s have won Super Bowls?
In comparison to teams winning an nba championship without a top 5 star.
Since 2000, we’ve had
2019 Raptors(debateable)
2014 Spurs
2011 Mavs
2004 Pistons
So maybe 4, but Kawhi probably counts as top 5, so probably just 3.
NFL has seen
2018 Eagles
2013 Ravens
2012 Giants
2008 Giants
2003 Bucs
2001 Ravens
So 6, unless you think Eli was a star, then 4.
Of course the single elimination format adds flukiness, so I think it’s close.
Think a SP might have the biggest single game impact though...of course they only pitch every 5th game.
