Post, all that was said was "maybe this increases the chances." There's an obvious (and lazy and possibly incorrect) connection between this kid and BYU. It's not some crime (or pride or over evaluation) to wonder "hey, this kid is LDS, wonder if he has any interest in BYU." Sure, it's "lazy" but what a weird thing to get worked up about.

If he was from Utah (even if not LDS), it would be reasonable to ask the question. If he had a distant relative on the team (even if he was not LDS), it would be a reasonable question. If be was previously offered (even if he was not LDS). Any connection will make people wonder.

No one is saying he HAS TO come here. Just wondering if there's a chance and hoping.
