A team of analysts concluded that the ransom letter was written in the home and may have taken either 22 or 32 minutes

(Can’t remember the length at the moment). They concluded that the person was very deliberate and took their time and happened to use certain words and descriptions in an effort to throw law enforcement off of the trail of the family when in fact it did the opposite.

I don’t see how an intruder just hangs out writing a ransom letter that tries a bit too hard to keep heat off of the family.
