...game despite getting a big boost in minutes. In those 6 games since he's avg'd 20 mins a game and has scored 2.7 pts a game and has shot 3 for 12 from distance. He's not lighting it up.
Knell has a competitive edge to him that neither Johnson or Harding seem to have. They're both really good all around players but they just seem to content at times for long stretches to slide in the back and kind of hide. I still remember elementary school (4th grade) when I was first learning to play the violin. I was so excited that I was finally old enough to join the orchestra and we practiced and practiced for the Christmas concert in front of our families, etc. The night of I was so terrified I made sure to sit all the way in the back and I pretended to play my violin so it would look like I was doing it (I know I was a dumb kid). I never told anyone.
I don't know if Harding and Johnson struggle with anxiety at times or what but they're both showing an allergic reaction to being in the limelight like they'd much prefer to hide in the back of the orchestra. Knell is a little grittier and his 2 buckets to give us the lead vs SMC showed some of that. Give him some more time and opportunity and I'll wager we'll see a little more of it.
Imagine what this team will look like when all 5 guys on the floor are scratching and clawing doing everything they can to get buckets or create a bucket for a teammate?
