Anything other than a full walk is simply wishful thinking
Tennessee will act like the NCAA is going to invoke the death penalty until the ‘for cause’ firing of the coaches goes through. After that, all of this will quietly go away. Arizona is still playing basketball right now and the NCAA has FBI recordings of Arizona coaches paying off players. Tennessee handing out McDonald’s bags full of cash is comical. More a sign of how backwards the Tennessee program is than anything else. No wonder the top recruits are going elsewhere.

If the NCAA drops the hammer on a note worthy program, the P4 schools plus a few of the PAC10 schools will peel off and form their own association. No more multi-Billion dollar b-ball tournament for the NCAA. Nothing is going to happen to any of the schools that have the ability to leave and give the NCAA the one finger salute. BYU is clearly not in that category.

Now if I happened to be an administrator at Middle Tennessee State, I’d be terrified that the NCAA would levy serious scholarship reductions and a multi-year post season ban because a coach accidentally texted a recruit 5 mins too early.
