I think their vocals are possibly some of the worst I have ever heard. For example, on "Sunday Best" the lead vocal hits the twin peak achievements of being incredibly repetitive melodically while being only sort of around the pitch. The chorus is like nails on a chalkboard. The guy really sounds like he's one of the auditions on American Idol that they put on there because of how bad he is . . .

My 12 year old son has been playing me other tracks by them, hoping to find one I like. If I could get past the vocals I might really like the jazzy, breezy island rhythm and feel. How are these guys popular? Do you like them?
