Winning.
Just like Independent BYU, if teams from the Pac12 can actually WIN in the big games, they'll be right back where they need to be. They need USC, Oregon, and Washington to be good. They need ASU and Stanford to quit being garbage. They need Utah, Wazzu, Colorado, Arizona, Cal, and UCLA to have season's like Utah had in 2019. It would be nice if Oregon State got out of the dumpster.
Winning solves everything. The Pac 12 has been bad football for the last few years. The enthusiasm for CFB in Pac12 country won't hold up if the football is bad. Winning solves it all. Clemson singlehandedly breathed life into the ACC. Oklahoma has carried a limping Big 12 many times. The B1G was struggling a few years back, but Urban brought Ohio State back and raised the tides of the rest of the conference.
USC needs to pay out to get a coach and get back to elite status. Same with Oregon and Washington. Helton, Cristobal, Lake, and Herm Edwards are not elite coaches and won't bring those programs to where the Pac 12 needs them.
