future 1st round draft picks because of the ridiculous protections they have on the pick owed to the Grizzlies. All they can offer is the pick two years past whenever the pick owed the Grizzlies conveys and four years past whenever the pick to the Grizzlies conveys.

Because of that, I think the Jazz would be hesitant to enter into a trade like that as it would essentially eliminate their ability to trade a future 1st round pick going forward. The Bulls are probably also hesitant as the years the pick conveys would be unknown and way down the road.
