If you live in Utah, it is against the law. You have to have a formal diagnosis
Via a psychological evaluation, which is roughly $1000, and insurance doesn't cover it (because if they did, they would be on the hook for tens of thousands every year).

Get a child and adolescent psychiatrist, if you don't already have one, and not just a pediatrician.
