Their insurance companies would recognize the risk and use the scarce supply for the patients who would cost them most if they contracted covid. End of story.

Meanwhile with the government run program the political elite and their friends get first crack at the vaccine. It reminds me of the politburu members living the life while common people in the fields starved to death. Only this time it's my patients who are waiting and hospital administrators sitting behind a screen at home who are getting the vaccine.
