And you're close to the airport. But I definitely agree in general. Latin America is filled with beautiful colonial cities, and even some of the biggest, like Mexico City, have tons of interesting things to see and do on your first or last days of a trip.

Unfortunately, San Jose is not one of those interesting cities. There are a lot of excellent reasons to go to Costa Rica, but in general, you should spend as little time as possible in the capital.
