I'm sure this was discussed an hour ago, but... Why is down 5 without the ball
and two minutes left at ALL better than 8 points down with one shot from 8 yards out at tying the game and 2 minutes remaining?
If you don't score, you need to get the ball back and score a touchdown anyway, and they'll almost guaranteed have worse field position.
You score and miss the 2 point conversion, you need to get the ball back and score a field goal anyway, and they'll almost guaranteed have worse field position.
What am I missing?
