Analytics would tell you that your odds of winning increase with the FG, I'm
sure of it as you would need to get a 4th and 8 AND a 2 point conversion, then have a less than 50 % chance of winning after that since they have the ball, and if they don't score it goes to OT. With a, you can get a stop, and a TD would win the game.
