Try Luther too. British police procedural but its got some of what you like in
your shows. He's a flawed cop that cuts some corners. I bet you would both like it. Idris Elba is excellent.
Another British copy mystery is Endeavor. My wife and I have loved this one. The stories are fantastic — she'll probably love it (if she hasn't already seen it) but you might really like it too. Great writing, directing and acting.
