Grade wise they don't always cut it

Iowa States #1 XC runner this year is Kenyan and didn't cut it grade-wise his first two years.
I watched him run in Albuquerque in the 2019 NJCAA championship, he could have beat anyone
in D1 that year, including Mantz. From what I found out, many of them don't qualify grade wise.
So that maybe one reason BYU doesn't actively recruit them.
