I pretty much disagree with all of you. QBs have a bigger impact on their teams
than the team does on the QB.
The Jets won 7 games last year and Darnold was trash. The Jets beat two playoff teams down the stretch and Darnold was trash.
Joe Burrow was on a bad team this year, but Burrow still looked good. Darnold hasn’t looked good since his USC days.
Doubling down on a bad QB with only one more year on his rookie contract doesn’t make sense to me. The Jets can pick up a potential Baker/Murray/Goff/Allen type with 4 years on a rookie contract.
