I was leaving Disneyland the day he died. The night before we stayed up to watch the fireworks at MK and the fog was so
dense that we couldn't even see the fireworks from inside the park. The next morning when we left to drive home the fog hadn't lifted. It was otherworldly. I've never been in such a thick fog.

It is still mind blowing to me that the pilot was willing to fly in those conditions.

Such a tragic event.

The most tragic part is that we missed out on the best part of Kobe's life. He had made mistakes, he clearly had learned from them and was putting forth the same effort he put on the court into being a dad and an overall good member of society. I'll always be sad that his second act was cut short.
