I had to run the numbers a couple times but it was astounding to me. We were thinking of renting a place for a two weeks in LA or France. France was less than LA (including airfare for 6). Nuts I know but lodging and DL tickets are crazy expensive and only 50 Euro for a day in Paris. Plus in Paris we only had to do DL for a day instead of the 4-5 I would have had to do in LA.

If I could do the same in Shanghai or Tokyo I'd pay more to avoid DL for the extra days.
