Wasn't the Quarterback competition wide open
In the fall supposedly? Given his injury history and uneven production I thot Grimes opened it up in the fall but Wilson quickly stepped up and was the clear leader.
I don't know when the captains were chosen exactly but it would seem strange to me to vote a backup quarterback as captain......if he hadn't yet won the job yet when they were chosen?
