and that's pretty common - to not talk openly about money.

They taught us very sound financial principles, but I have no idea how much they made at any given point. Now that they're older, us kids do know quite a bit more than we used to and some of us are listed as account owners on some of their accounts.

It's carried over with siblings. I have no idea how much my siblings make - I just know it's more than me - and in one case MUCH more. 😀
