Question about living in the Lehi area near Utah Lake...

I have a friend looking at building or buying just south of pioneer crossing and would be about a half mile from the lake. Any issues with mosquitos or smell from the lake or anything else in that area?

He hasn't spent anytime out there during spring or summer.
