that he’s somehow protecting himself by doing a Cashier’s Check. Like he has shown, there are risks to Cashier’s checks. There’s a reason why large businesses choose to wire funds over purchasing cashier’s checks. It’s not 1980 anymore.

If he had sent a wire, the funds would be out of his account immediately and into theirs relatively quickly. If there is an issue with where the wire ends up, the bank can do a trace on the wire at no expense to you. Make sure that you have correct wiring info and that your bank input the info correctly and you have sufficient protection.

Not sure what he thought he was protecting himself with the Cashier’s check. Dumb decision.
