Amazon, and Disney and all the other traditional giants are going their own way, Netflix is increasingly reliant on their own content. But they don’t have any big brands and don’t have anywhere near as big of pockets as the other big players so they can’t really compete for them when they go up for bid (LOTR, etc).
I think they’ll continue to have a place because they still have some good original content, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they get displaced from the top as people start having to choose which services to keep, and they end up sticking with the big brand content they know.
