If you have a catastrophic illness that is really expensive the hospital
will pay for it. It it's only a couple weeks and COBRA has expired that is the best option.

Also, little known fact is you can pay as little as $10/month toward medical bills, even if the overall bill is huge. They will do lots of complaining but as long as you send some money every month they can't do anything about it.

So if it's only a couple weeks, your best option is probably to not get insurance.
