I had a similar thing happen with my daughter
She was younger, probably about 6-7. I still remember when they took her away and I couldn’t be with her. I knew she would be ok but to see the tears in her eyes from fear and the fact I couldn’t be with her broke my heart.
It turned out great and years later only that memory remains. It’s hard to see your children in pain.
